## Title: Michael Scott - The Sorceress ## Other Info:

The Sorceress is the third book in The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series. This is the one where the twins of legend, the sun and the moon with gold and silver auras, the two that are one, the one that is all or Josh and Sophie Newman continue their quest to recover the mystic book called the codex for from the / officially long-dead Dr John Dee, who served as Queen Elizabeth I’s court astronomer, and his dark-elder masters. To do this they must learn the elemental magic of water for the oldest human immortal, Gilgamesh the King. I think that this book is my favourite in the series so far. One thing that I both hate and think is rather clever about this book is that right when you reach a climactic part of the story, the author / Michael Scott / ends the chapter and starts the next one about one of the other characters that just so happen to be in another part of the world. In fact, Mr Scott has about three story lines running at once in this book. One is the story of Nicholas Flamel, in search of Gilgamesh the king, along with Josh and Sophie Newman closely entwined / but not exactly the same as / the story of John Dee, Niccolo Machiavelli and the dark elders with their plan to return to our world from their shadow worlds and enslave its population. The third is of Perenelle Flamel / the sorceress mentioned /, imprisoned on Alcatraz with a giant Spider, a Sphinx and an army of monsters shortly to be awakened.Somewhere in this book it is mentioned that there are five elements. Everyone knows the first four, / air, earth, fire and water/ but not many know of the fifth, what do you think that this fifth element is?
